Note: We have done this in person for you, hope it can guide you well when you come to register yours.

Last week, Dalian Laowai made post about registering Sim Card before September 1st otherwise your number might be invalid. Today, we will help you to understand the process step by step with pictures. For our example, we used China Unicom to do registration, however, we believe if the process will be quite similiar both in China Mobile and China Telecom.

Step by Step:

1. Prepare your Sim Card, your passport and a list of phone numbers that your phone last received or called (at least 5 different numbers).

2. Go to your Mobile provider branch office.

3. Take a queue number and tell a member of staff that you want to register your number. They will check whether your number need to be register under new name or not and then give you queue number.

4. Go to the counter that showed your number.

5. Explain in the counter if you need to register your number. The staff will tell you to go to one of machine in the office to put passport on your number first. Follow the step below.

6. Tap the first one (green picture) if you never done this procedure before.

7. You will see the screen below, put your phone number in the empty field, afterward your will need to put your 6 digits of new passwords.

8. If you're successful, you will be brought to the screen below. Tap 'home' button in the bottom of the screen to exit your account.

9. After retrieve your new password, come back to the counter with your number and provide all the information asked by the staff (your passport, list of phone numbers, your new password), the staff will help you to input all the data. Don't forget to make sure everything is right after they printed the documents to show it to you.

10. Save the document below, if there is any problem in the future, you just need to bring this document to your mobile provider branch to solve it.
